15 Irish Baby Animal Pictures to Celebrate Spring

Spring is in full-force in Ireland, and that means baby animals absolutely everywhere! I had no idea before I got here how rural western Ireland is and how central farming is to the communities we stayed in. I loved seeing all the farm animals and drove my friend insane asking to stop to photograph them all. In the end, I got pictures of maybe 5% of all the adorable baby animals I saw. Here are some of my favorite pics from my Wild Atlantic Way road trip.

Lamb
A cute lamb posing for me on the Sleahead Drive on the Dingle Peninsula. Unfortunately, I was trying to take a video. Oh well, he’s such a cutie.

Sheep and lamb
This lamb would rather chill and nap than learn to eat grass, thank you very much. In County Kerry.

Sleeping lamb with farmer.
After days of photographing baby animals, we finally got to play with some! Charlie is a bottle-fed lamb who loves to be held and cuddled, although his farm hand told us he’s about to outgrow the playpen. Taken on Sleahead Drive outside Dingle in County Kerry.

  4. The picture captioned “The baby calf just awake from his nap” is like a pixel-perfect postcard that the tourism department of Ireland could print and sell! And the picture where you have a bunch of sheep running down a road lead by a bouncing baby lamb – I wanted to get a picture like that when I was in Scotland and Ireland, but the timing was always off. You nailed it! And I am so green with envy 🙂

    • I got a bit of video of the running sheep, but my friend got an amazing video of them running toward us with the little lamb boucing. I was super jealous too. =)

  5. Cutest post idea ever!
